Simplifying route setting,
from idea to wall

Route setting is at the heart of the experience a climbing gym offers. It takes creativity, time, teams and specific expertise.

This work needs to be prepared and followed, and the creations that come out of it need to be kept.

Circle gives setters a space to design and prepare their sets, and gives gyms a solution to simplify how they manage them.

Giving setters a real workspace

A set begins long before it goes up on the wall.

Circle lets setters imagine their creations, choose their holds, prepare their routes and keep the work they have done.

They get a space designed to support their creative process, from idea to installation.

Helping gyms manage their sets better

Preparing and following routes beforehand lets gyms organise their setting better and save time during installation.

Teams can focus more on fine-tuning, route quality and setter training, while making walls available to their customers sooner.

Protecting setters over the long term

Route setting is a demanding job that involves handling holds and volumes, repetitive movements and many hours working at height.

By preparing sets beforehand, Circle helps limit unnecessary handling and the time spent on installation. Setters can focus on installing and fine-tuning.

Reducing time spent on the ladder or the lift helps protect their safety, their health and their ability to do this job over the long term.

Keeping and passing on expertise

A route should not disappear when it is stripped.

With Circle, creations stay available to be found again, adapted or reused. Setters’ work becomes a lasting resource for themselves, their clients and gyms.

Our mission

Our mission

Supporting setters in designing their sets and helping gyms simplify how they manage them.

Circle develops a workspace and services that make it possible to prepare sets better, keep expertise and help protect setters in their work.

A shared space to manage route setting

Circle supports a set from its creation to its installation.

Setters have their own workspace. They can prepare their creations there, collaborate with their clients or teams, and keep the work they have done.

Gyms can follow upcoming routes, organise their approval and find all their sets in one place.

Our concept

01

Create

The setter chooses a wall, selects holds and builds a route in Circle Workspace. They can prepare the set in advance and find all the information they need when they go to the wall.

02

Collaborate

A creation can stay personal or be shared with a client, a team or a setting manager. Once shared, it can be viewed, discussed and adjusted before installation.

03

Go to the wall

Setters find their route and the hold positioning information. They remain free to test it and fine-tune it.

04

Keep

Finished routes stay available in Circle. They can be found again, adapted or reused according to the rights granted by their author.

A solution that fits every organisation

Circle lets setters manage their creations, head setters support their teams, and gyms simplify how they manage their sets.

The solution also adapts to the needs of events, clubs, federations, hold brands and wall manufacturers.

Our team

Expertise born at the heart of international climbing

Circle brings together a team from climbing, route setting and international competitions.

Working alongside setters, athletes, gyms and brands, we identified one shared need: a space to prepare, follow and keep sets. We created Circle to meet it.

The team combines in-depth knowledge of climbing, route setting, international competitions and the challenges faced by professionals in the sector.

An international ambition

Circle creates a shared space in which ideas, creations and expertise can travel beyond gyms and borders.

Our ambition is to support the growth of climbing while preserving what makes route setting rich: creativity, high standards, the passing on of know-how and the diversity of styles.
